Stakeholders of health research will convene for the 13th National Forum on Health Research for Action to be held on November 20 and 21, 2012 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Manila. With the theme “Kalusugan Pananaliksik para sa Kalusugan Pangkalahatan (KP4KP), the forum willshowcase evidence from research as necessary inputs for the development of policies towards the achievement of Universal Health Care goals.
The two-day forum will serve as a platform for dissemination and utilization of health researches, where participants can exchange insights and experiences useful for the creation of responsive policies and evidence-based decisions for the health sector. Health research stakeholders composed of policymakers, program implementers, experts from the academe, professional societies, research organizations, and non-health and health-related institutions both from the public and private sectors are expected to participate in the event.
The National Forum on Health Research for Action is an annual event of the Department of Health (DOH) through its Health Policy Development and Planning Bureau (HPDPB). This year’s forum is co-organized by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD-DOST).
