JSPS offers research fellowship program in Japan

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is offering researchers from around the world a Fellowship Program in Japan, conducting scientific collaboration, in humanities, social and natural sciences, with their Japanese colleagues.

Tailored to a full spectrum of researchers and made available to all universities and research institutions in Japan, this program offers short- and long-term courses which include a Summer Program, Postdoctoral Fellowship (short-term) for North American and European Researchers, Postdoctoral Fellowship for Foreign Researchers, Invitation Fellowship for Research in Japan (long- and short-terms), and a JSPS Award for Eminent Scientists.

Chosen researchers will be given round trip tickets, insurance coverage, and allowance of up to 20,000 USD, depending on the program. They will also be provided with a copy of the JSPS Quarterly newsletter, which features latest news and activities of the JSPS.

Interested applicants may apply through a nominating authority, a host researcher in Japan, or through the JSPS Overseas Liaison Office.

Further information about the Fellowship Program may be found at the JSPS website (here).
