PHREB largeThe Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) is the national policy making body in health research ethics in the country, created under DOST Special Order No. 091 s. 2006, which ensures adherence to the universal ethical principles for the protection and promotion of the dignity of health research participants.

The National Ethics Committee (NEC) is an independent body whose main function is to review of health research in the Philippines. The NEC is tasked to ensure that all biomedical researches involving human participants conform to international ethical principles and standards towards respect for the sanctity of life and dignity of man, NEC put together the first set of national guidelines for the conduct of biomedical research in 1985.

While the PNHRS site continues to serve its stakeholders, the pictures, uploaded to its gallery, have become very cumbersome to manage.  Consequently, we had to take these out of the gallery section to give way to a new set of categories, which will hopefully control where to put images from certain events.
