MAKATI CITY, Metro Manila- Dr. Jaime Montoya, Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) Executive Director, led the Council’s 34^th anniversary celebration on 17 March 2016 at the New World Makati Hotel.

With the theme “Going Global: Increasing International Partnerships in Research and Innovation for Health,” the celebration focused on the globalization of research and innovation for health and the growing interest for international research collaborations.

With the rise of dengue cases especially among children, a Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD)-supported study offers a predictive model that estimates mosquito density in public elementary and high schools in the Philippines even without active vector surveillance.

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) will celebrate its 34^th anniversary celebration on 17 March 2015 at New World Makati Hotel.

With the theme “Going Global: Increasing International Partnerships in Research and Innovation for Health,” the event will highlight globalization of research and innovation for health and the growing interest for international research collaborations. Likewise, the celebration will serve as a platform for stakeholders to discuss ways to make international research collaborations more effective and efficient through greater cooperation between countries and institutions and pooling of resources.

“Animal welfare is the position that animals should be treated humanely,” remarked Dr. Ma. Gracia Dizon-Flores, the National Animal Welfare focal person of the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), during the second part of the session on Orientation on Ethics in Research conducted by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) for its staff on 1 February 2015.
