CVCHRD Unveils New Logo

The Central Visayas Consortium for Health Research and Development (CVCHRD) recently unveiled its new logo during the 2nd Annual Central Visayas Health Research and Innovation Conference held last June 21-22, 2017 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Designed by Nikko P. Dajao, the logo was chosen from approximately more than 60 designs submitted to the consortium for consideration.

The new CVCHRD depicts the four island provinces of the region – Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental and Siquijor, being revealed and brought into the global health research platform.

The look of the new CVCHRD logo highlights bands of formidable networks & linkages which represent the consortium's mission. Symbolized by the microscope, the visual identity depicts the consortium’s commitment to advance health knowledge through collaborative and multidisciplinary research development. Adding impetus is the winged staff with two serpents wrapped around it, known as the Caduceus, the symbol for health with which CVCHRD is committed to uphold.

The logo also stays true to its roots by featuring the organization's founding year. Furthermore, it is illustrated in color blue which embodies the values of truth, wisdom and stability essential for the consortium’s vision of being the key catalyst in the generation of health research.
