The Ethics Review Committee (ERC) of the Caraga Health Research and Development Consortium (CHRDC) chose its new set officers for 2018 to 2021 at Manuel J. Santos Hospital Board Room, June 4, 2018.
MJ Santos Hospital Director Dr. Terence Anthony S. Vesagas remains as the Chairperson of the committee. Elected with him as officers are Mr. Tarcisio B. Candog Jr, Vice-chairperson; and Dr. Joycelyn C. Jumawan, Secretary.
Consortium Director Dominga D. Mallonga presided the election process and administered the oath-taking of the elected officers together with other ERC members namely: Dr. Reinerio M. Durano Jr—PhilHealth; Ms. Kimberly E. De Rama—Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU); Dr. Joel Arturo S. De Jesus—Philhealth and Mr. Paul Ritchie G. Pelos—Butuan Medical Center (BMC).
Prior to the election and oathtaking ceremony, Dir. Mallonga also presented the accomplishments of the consortium last year including the budget this year. She then suggested for more bench marking, activities and trainings to be conducted or attended related to ethics in order to utilize the budget.
Just this year, the committee is now composed of seven (7) members coming from the member-institutions of the consortium.
